Susanne Sulby has been teaching and acting in the greater Philadelphia region for over 20 years. Her teaching career began at the University of the Arts where her classes included, Voice and Speech for the Actor, Acting and The Business of Acting. In addition to teaching while at the University of the Arts Ms. Sulby’s responsibilities included Dialect coaching and monitoring the audition process for incoming freshman. She has taught for The Walnut Street Theater, Wilma Theater, Mike Lemon Casting, Wickline Casting and numerous other performing arts institutions. She most recently served as Dialect coach for the Lead actor, Razaaq Adoti (Amastad, Blackhawk Down) on the major motion picture ‘Cover’ directed by Bill Duke (Predator, X Men).

Her performance career has included numerous plays from Shakespeare to original works like the critically acclaimed ‘Black Russian’ for Interact Theater. For seven seasons, she was a senior company member of the Philadelphia Area Repertory Theater. She appeared in InterAct Theatre Company’s world premiere production of Thomas Gibbons’ Black Russian, directed by Seth Rozin, and as Molly Bloom in the staged reading of a new play ‘A Dublin Bloom’ based on James Joyce’s Ulysses at the Annenberg Center’s Zellerbach Theatre, directed by Gregory Doran of the Royal Shakespeare Company. She can also be seen with Billy Crudup in the award-winning 2000 Evenstar feature film, Jesus’ Son. Following a hiatus devoted to home and family, she returned to the stage in Sanctuary. Her solo performance ‘Sanctuary’ a labor of passion was well received by audiences at the Philadelphia fringe festival and numerous additional venues. Ms. Sulby is also a voice over artist and can be heard frequently on radio and television. She has her BFA from the University of the Arts and is a Designated Linklater Voice Teacher.
